Like most small business’ owners and bloggers, when I first started learning about content marketing and search engine optimization almost 10 years ago, one of the main challenges was finding an affordable SEO software that could help me improve my rankings and skills.

I really wished there was a suite of tools like Mangools that could give me access to the SEO tools I needed at a fraction of the cost. In this Mangools review, we’ll analyze Mangools SEO tools, Mangools pricing, and we’ll review the pros and cons of this affordable yet powerful platform.

IN THIS ARTICLE:

What Is Mangools?

Mangools is a web-based, all-in-one SEO platform known to be one of the most affordable yet powerful solutions on the market. In fact, despite being relatively new compared to its most famous competitors like Ahrefs or Semrush, Mangools offers the most important SEO tools at a fraction of the cost. This makes Mangools the best SEO alternative for small companies and bloggers.

The platform was launched in 2014 with the mission to make search engine optimization simple and accessible. It offers five very intuitive SEO tools that cover the most important feature you would look for in an SEO platform, like keyword research, SERP analysis, rank tracking, backlink analysis, and so on. So let’s jump to the tools review.

Mangools SEO Tools Review

KWFinder

KWFinder is Mangools’ keyword research tool, and it is probably its most famous feature. Although it doesn’t offer as many keywords ideas as most expensive competitors like Ahrefs or SemRush, I believe it is the most comprehensive keyword research tool among all the affordable SEO platforms I’ve tried and probably the only one that has never made me miss Ahrefs when it comes to keyword research.

As with any other keyword research tool, you just need to enter a keyword to get keyword suggestions with related keywords, autocomplete, and questions, along with stats like keyword difficulty, search volume, CPC, and organic traffic trend. However, several features make KWFinder better than most keyword research tools:

First of all, it gives you the option to search globally, without necessarily specifying a certain country or language, as depicted below. With most keyword research tools, you need to specify a country or language to get keyword suggestions.

Last but not least, the quality of keyword suggestions is really good, so you won’t probably miss Ahrefs or Semrush when it comes to keyword research. And this is not a given with most SEO platforms out there.

SERPChecker

SERPChecker is Mangools’ SERP analysis tool. It allows users to track keywords ranking in real-time while providing an in-depth analysis of google search results with some of the most important SEO metrics, including Moz Domain & Page Authority, Majestic Trust Flow & Citation Flow, Alexa Rank, and also the number of Facebook Shares. The number of backlinks and referring domains is also included.

Another interesting (proprietary) feature of the SERPChecker is the SERP features impact, which estimates the impact of SERP features (such as ads, video, etc.…) on organic search results engagement.

Like many other SERP analyzers, Mangools also offer the snapshot feature, which provides users with a snapshot of real-users search results, i.e., how real-users see the SERP. What’s more, you also have the possibility to compare a page of your website to your competitors without leaving the SERP. These tools can save you some time since you won’t need to jump in and out of the SEO software while analyzing the SERP.

SERPWatcher

SERPWatcher is Mangools’ rank tracking tool. Like any other rank tracker on the market, it allows users to track a list of keywords’ ranking over time while providing stats on organic traffic and estimated visits per month. Being just a rank tracking tool, it doesn’t have anything more or less than other tools on the market, but like the other Mangools’ tools, it is very intuitive, well designed, and gets the job done.

Link Miner

As the name suggests, Link Miner is Mangools’ backlink checker. It is probably the best backlink checker among all the affordable SEO platforms I’ve ever tried. The reason is pretty straightforward — since Mangools doesn’t actually have a proprietary links database, it uses Majestic SEO API.

Honestly, the main reason I had to cancel every subscription to smaller SEO platforms is their backlinks database — you can’t really rely on them. It takes a lot of time and resources to build a database from scratch, and it’s almost impossible for a small platform to compete with giants like Ahrefs, whose database consists of 24.87 trillion links. That’s why Mangools’s Link Miner is the best backlink checker when it comes to affordable SEO platforms.

LinkMiner also gives users a live site preview of each linking page, which is a very handy feature that most backlinks checkers (even the giants) miss. It will save you a bunch of time when you’re analyzing a website’s backlinks profile.

Site Profiler

Site Profiler is the last SEO tool on the platform. This isn’t really an essential SEO tool since it provides metrics you can already have with the other tools above, such as domain and page authority, citation flow, trust flow, and Alexa Rank. Nevertheless, it may be useful when you just want to see some of the most important website metrics.

Mangools Toolbar Review

Mangools also offers a browser extension for Firefox and Chrome with a wide range of tools you can use to break down any site you visit without leaving the page to open an SEO software.

While most SEO software offer similar browser extensions, I’m quite sure no other affordable/free SEO toolbar is so comprehensive. With a paid account, you can:

  • Get a brief analysis of the most important SEO metrics of a site on the go.
  • Check what the currently visited website ranks for without using any outside keyword analysis tool.
  • Get the list of the visited website’s backlinks directly in your browser.
  • Get an instant on-page SEO analysis.
  • Analyze what long-tail keywords are used on the site, their density, and where they are used.
  • Find every broken link on the website.

Mangools Pricing

As discussed above, pricing is one of the main strengths of Mangools, which offers three paid plans ranging from $29 for Mangools Basic plan to $79 per month for Mangools Agency. In comparison, Ahrefs’ basic plan comes at $99/month, which is 3x times more expensive. So I strongly believe Mangools is the best value-for-money SEO platform on the market.

If you want to try the platform risk-free, Mangools offers a 10-day free trial you can cancel any time. Furthermore, here’s a little trick — if you start a free trial, they will offer you a 10% lifetime discount on any Mangools’ plan.

Mangools Review: Pros

  • Keyword Research: Mangools is the only affordable SEO software that has never made me miss Ahrefs when it comes to keyword research. The quality of KWFinder’s suggestions is really good, and the tool offers some options that most keyword research tools miss.
  • Backlink Checker: Relying on Majestic SEO API, Mangools’s LinkMiner is the best backlink checker when it comes to affordable SEO platforms. Its site preview feature is also an excellent tool that most backlinks checkers miss.
  • Ease Of Use: All Mangools’ SEO tools are very user friendly, intuitive, and well designed, making them very easy to use for everyone.
  • Best Value-For-Money: At $29/month, you can’t really find any other SEO platform so easy to use and that offers such a powerful suite of tools.

Mangools Review: Cons

  • Dashboard: If you manage different websites, an integrated dashboard can really improve the user experience. Being a relatively new platform, it still lacks a real dashboard.
  • Lacks Features: Being a new and affordable software, Mangools still misses some more advanced features offered by its biggest competitors like Ahrefs, Moz, or SemRush.

Conclusion

If you own an SEO agency or a big company and you can invest more than $1200/year on SEO software to get access to more advanced SEO features, you will probably be better off with the most expensive competitors like Ahrefs and Semrush.

If you are a small business’ owner/individual blogger looking for an affordable, easy-to-use solution without compromising on the most important SEO needs like the backlink checker or the keyword tool, you won’t regret using Mangools at $29/month. It misses some more advanced features available with Ahrefs but gives you all the tools you need to get the job done at a fraction of the cost.
